Nail Tutorial: How to Rock Glitter Nails This Spring

 

One of the major nail trends for the spring season is glitter. Before you run the opposite direction, check out this gorgeous and totally wearable tutorial that will turn you into a glitter fanatic!

Supplies

• Nail art dotting tool or tweezers (try The Body Shop Nail Pen)
• Base coat
• An iridescent, glittery nail polish that will serve as your base/background shade (we recommend Essie Hors D’Oeuvres)
• A chunkier, more textured glitter polish with larger pieces of glitter that can be individually placed on the nail (we recommend Maybelline Color Show Jewels in Gilded in Gold)
• Top coat

Step 1: Apply a base coat to your nails.

Step 2: Apply one to two coats of your iridescent glitter polish. Allow two to three minutes for your polish to dry.

Step 3: Pour a small amount of your chunkier, gilded nail polish into a small, shallow bowl or cup.  Using a nail art dotting tool or tweezers, pick up individual pieces of glitter and place them on the nail until you reach the design/saturation desired. Allow two to three minutes for the glitter to dry on the nails.

Step 4: Apply your topcoat and you’re good to go!
